Kuwait continued their impressive build-up to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia – EAP Qualifiers with a commanding 34-run victory over Qatar, marking back-to-back wins in their warm-up fixtures.

Batting first, Kuwait posted a strong total of 184 in 19.5 overs, led by a blistering 63 off 27 balls from Clinto Velookkaran Anto and a composed 65 off 48 by Meet Bhavsar. Their partnership set the tone for an aggressive innings despite disciplined spells from Qatar’s Mirza Mohammed Baig (3/26) and Owais Ahmed (2/31).

In reply, Qatar managed 150/6 in 20 overs, with Zubair Ali (48) and skipper Imal Galle Liyanage (27) putting up resistance. However, Kuwait’s bowlers maintained control throughout, with Anudeep Chenthamara (2/22) and Shiraz Khan Shereef (1/17) leading a tidy bowling performance that sealed the win.

With two consecutive victories in their preparation matches, Kuwait have showcased form, balance, and depth across departments ahead of the regional qualifiers. The team will look to carry this winning momentum into their opening game against Nepal on October 8th in Muscat, Oman.
