Over 300 Nepalis benefit from free health camp in Kuwait
More than 300 members of Kuwait’s Nepali community benefited from a free health camp organized by Nirem Group at a clinic facility in Mahboula, reflecting ongoing efforts to promote healthcare awareness and well-being among expatriate workers.
Held from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the camp attracted participants from various parts of Kuwait and offered a range of free medical services, including blood sugar, cholesterol, and blood pressure screenings, as well as consultations with general physicians, eye specialists, and dental professionals. Participants were also provided access to discounted rates for additional medical tests and healthcare services.
The event was attended by Nepal’s Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Ghanshyam Lamsal, along with representatives from community organizations, social groups, and volunteers who supported the initiative.
Among those present were International Labour Organization representative Amish Karki, NRNA ICC Secretary Sujan KC, NRNA Kuwait Presidents Bikash Bahadur Singh and Dil Kumar Pakhrin, Vice President of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Kuwait Branch Chandra Gotame, and representatives from various social, cultural, and political organizations.
The health camp catered to a wide segment of the Nepali community, including domestic workers, company employees, delivery riders, and other expatriate residents. Eye and dental examinations emerged as some of the most sought-after services, drawing significant interest throughout the day.
Participants praised the initiative for its efficient organization, timely medical services, and supportive environment. Many highlighted the convenience of receiving multiple health screenings and consultations under one roof, describing the camp as both beneficial and professionally managed.
Organizers said the program forms part of a broader commitment to enhancing health awareness and access to preventive care within the Nepali community. They added that similar health and awareness initiatives are planned in the future to further support the welfare and well-being of Nepali nationals living in Kuwait.
