Indian, Egyptian envoys visit their injured nationals after Kuwait Airport attack
The Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Paramita Tripathi, visited Indian nationals injured in hospital following the recent missile and drone attack that targeted Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday June 3, an incident that left one Indian national dead and several others injured.
During the hospital visit, the Ambassador met the injured Indians and interacted with medical teams, expressed condolences to the family of the deceased, and assured full assistance from the Indian Embassy. She also reviewed the condition of those undergoing treatment and conveyed support for their speedy recovery.
The Ambassador said the Indian mission is working in close coordination with Kuwaiti authorities to monitor the health of the injured, facilitate medical care, and maintain continuous communication with families in India. The Embassy reiterated that it remains in “close and continuous contact” with local authorities as the situation develops.
Separately, the Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Mohammad Abulwafa, also visited Egyptian nationals injured in the same incident, including Mamdouh Abdel Aleem Arafa, at a local hospital. He was informed that Arafa’s condition is stable and showing improvement.
Embassy officials confirmed that, except for Arafa, all other injured Egyptian nationals have been discharged after receiving treatment. The Egyptian mission has been closely monitoring the situation since the incident, in coordination with Kuwaiti authorities and hospital administrations.
Both the Indian and Egyptian embassies expressed appreciation for the swift response and medical care provided by Kuwaiti authorities. They also reaffirmed solidarity with Kuwait and called for the protection of civilians amid escalating regional tensions.
