
The Kuwaiti national football team drew 2-2 with their Thai hosts in an international friendly match held today, Friday, at Thammasat University Stadium in Pathum Thani, north of the capital Bangkok, as part of the “Blue” team’s training camp which continues until the 8th of this month.
The Blue team is preparing to play several tournaments in the coming months, starting with the Gulf Cup 27 in Saudi Arabia between September and October, before playing the West Asian Championship in Oman in November, and finally the Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia from January 7 to February 5, 2027.
The home side waited until the final minutes of the first half to open the scoring through Siskan Ratri, who received a pass behind the defenders on the right side and shot from a narrow angle past goalkeeper Khalid Al-Rashidi (42).

In stoppage time, Kristada Kaman added Thailand’s second goal with a powerful shot from outside the area that settled to the right of Al-Rashidi (45+4).
The Blues made a strong start to the second half, the team’s lines got closer together, and they managed to reduce the gap through Youssef Majed after a perfect cross from Nasser Faleh and a beautiful header into the near corner (48).
Malaysian referee Muhammad Nazmi, based on the flag of his compatriot Bin Khalil Zirul, cancelled a goal scored by Kuwait’s Yousef Nasser because the latter was in an offside position (52).

The Thai crossbar received a powerful shot from a long-range free kick (62).
Eid Al-Rashidi and Abdullah Al-Qarzi played in place of Youssef Majid and Jassim Al-Matar, before Shabeeb Al-Khaldi and Reda Hani took the place of Youssef Nasser and Khaled Al-Murshid.
Eid Al-Rashidi succeeded in equalizing for “Al-Azraq” after following up on Mohammed Daham’s shot that rebounded off Thai goalkeeper Patwait Kamai (70).
Kuwait’s coach, the Portuguese Helio Sousa, continued to make substitutions in the remaining minutes, bringing on Abdullah Al-Awadhi, Mahdi Dashti and Mohammed Khaled in place of Daham, Khaled Sabah and Nasser Faleh.
