Kuwait Cybercrime Department Issues Urgent Warning Against Sharing Military-Related Content
The Cybercrime Department at Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has issued an urgent warning to the public, urging all residents and citizens to refrain from publishing, sharing, or circulating any content related to missiles, military operations, wars, or security activities through social media platforms or electronic communication channels.
The department stressed that disseminating such content constitutes a violation of Kuwaiti laws and may expose offenders to legal accountability. Authorities emphasized the importance of exercising responsibility when using digital platforms, particularly during the current sensitive security situation.
The warning also extends to the sharing of videos, photographs, audio recordings, or any information that could undermine national security, spread rumors, create panic among the public, or fuel sectarian tensions.
Officials called on the public to rely exclusively on official government sources for information and updates, while avoiding the circulation of unverified reports or content that could negatively affect public order and national unity.
The Cybercrime Department reaffirmed its commitment to monitoring violations and taking the necessary legal measures against individuals who publish or distribute prohibited content online.
