Anti-narcotics officers seize drug-laced papers, hashish and crystal meth from Egyptian

Personnel from the Directorate-General for Drug Control have taken into custody an Egyptian man, living in Mangaf, for possessing narcotics and psychotropic substances allegedly intended for trafficking and personal use.
In a statement, the Ministry of Interior said the arrest followed intensive investigations and precise field monitoring carried out by anti-narcotics officers, leading to the suspect’s detention and the seizure of various banned substances.
Authorities said officers found the accused in possession of 140 A4-sized white sheets of paper saturated with narcotic chemical substances, in addition to 40 grams of hashish, 15 grams of crystal meth, 200 milliliters of CBD liquid, and two sensitive weighing scales believed to have been used in the preparation and sale of drugs.
The ministry noted that paper infused with psychoactive substances is among the latest smuggling and concealment methods used by drug traffickers in an attempt to evade detection, reports Al-Rai daily.
Officials stressed that the vigilance and efficiency of anti-narcotics personnel played a key role in uncovering the operation and thwarting the suspected trafficking activity.
Legal procedures have been initiated against the accused, who was referred along with the seized materials to the competent authorities for further investigation.
