Kuwait foils attempt to smuggle 350 kilograms of narcotics at sea
The operation, resulting in the arrest of six individuals, is part of the Ministry of Interior's ongoing fight against drug dealers, smugglers, and networks aiming to bring harmful substances into the country.
The criminal security sector, represented by the General Administration for Combating Narcotics and in cooperation with the General Administration of the Coast Guard, successfully thwarted a large-scale smuggling operation of narcotics by six defendants attempting to enter the country by sea.
This operation is part of the Ministry of the Interior’s ongoing efforts to combat drug dealers, smugglers, and networks aiming to bring harmful substances into the country.
The General Administration of Security Relations and Media in the Ministry of Interior stated that during intensified search and investigation operations targeting drug dealers, information revealed an attempt by several individuals to smuggle a large quantity of narcotics into the country via the sea.
As soon as the boat was spotted, it was intercepted, leading to the discovery of 13 bags containing approximately 350 kilograms of ‘hashish’. The operation resulted in the arrest of six defendants who were attempting to smuggle these drugs through Kuwaiti territorial waters.
