Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah held a joint meeting on Monday with Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi and senior officials from the Public Authority for Disabilities Affairs to explore ways to improve health and social services for individuals with disabilities in Kuwait.

In a statement Dr Al-Huwailah confirmed that the meeting focused on reviewing the services and benefits currently provided under the law by PADA, reports Al-Rai daily.

The discussions centered on how to develop and enhance these services to better respond to the needs of persons with disabilities and improve their overall quality of life.

The participants emphasized the importance of coordination and integration between relevant government entities to streamline procedures and ensure easier and more effective access to essential services for people with disabilities.

Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing collaboration and the exchange of expertise, reflecting Kuwait’s continued efforts to empower individuals with disabilities and to align national practices with international standards and agreements on disability rights.

The meeting is part of a broader government initiative to ensure that social and health services for people with disabilities are not only inclusive and accessible but also responsive to the challenges they face in daily life.
