10 days imprisonment for those who assaulted police

The Ministry of Interior said all legal measures have been taken against those who assaulted the traffic police officers in Hawalli Governorate, and various cases have been registered against them, including assaulting a public employee on duty, insulting a public employee, and misusing a phone, since the assailants are said to have filmed the security personnel.

The Ministry added in a press statement all those accused in the incident have been put behind bars for 10 days at the central prison pending investigation, and the vehicles has been impounded, reports Al-Anba daily.

Moreover, a security source said those referred are a young man, who is in his thirties, and his father, mother, and sister, noting that the Hawalli Traffic Director, Brigadier General Mubarak Al-Hajri, and the Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Traffic Affairs, Major General Abdullah Al-Rajaib, are in the process of honoring the traffic police who were victims, most likely Thursday.
