Three caught with drugs hidden in medicine containers
MOI warns citizens and residents, particularly travelers, against carrying any luggage, bags, parcels, packages or items belonging to others to or from Kuwait.

The security authorities have arrested three travelers in separate cases for carrying drugs and psychotropic substances concealed inside medicine containers. They were caught at an entry point in Kuwait.
According to preliminary investigations the ‘suspects’ had received the containers from individuals outside Kuwait and were asked to deliver them to people inside the country. The suspects were reportedly told that the containers held medicines and agreed to carry them without knowing or verifying their actual contents.
However, inspections at the point of entry revealed the containers contained drugs and psychotropic substances. The suspects and the seized items were referred to the relevant authorities for legal action, while investigations continue to determine the circumstances of the cases and identify others who may be involved.
The Ministry of Interior has warned citizens and residents, particularly travelers, against carrying any luggage, bags, parcels, packages or items belonging to others to or from Kuwait. The ministry said travelers should avoid allowing their goodwill to be exploited by drug and psychotropic-substance smugglers, who may use various concealment methods and other people to carry prohibited substances through border entry points. Travelers carrying such items will be legally liable for their actions.
The ministry urged travelers not to accept requests to carry items on behalf of others, regardless of the reasons given or their relationship with the person handing over the items.
