172 bottles of imported liquor, 465,750 dinars seized from non-Kuwaiti bootlegger

Personnel from the Criminal Security Sector have taken into custody a non-Kuwaiti man for allegedly trading in imported liquor. The arrest came following an investigation by the CID men from the Ahmadi Governorate.
The Ministry of Interior said CID men went into action following a tip-off about the suspect’s alleged involvement in the illegal trade, officers seized the man in the suburb of Jaber Al-Ahmad area as he was leaving his residence.
During interrogation, the suspect allegedly admitted to trading in imported liquor and guided officers to his home where he had stored 172 bottles of imported liquor and 465,750 dinars in cash believed to be proceeds from the sale of booze.
