Court sentences 4 to 10 years, one to seven for membership, financing Hezbollah
Four ordered to pay 6.283 million dinars each; one 6 million dinars

The State Security Appeals Court has sentenced three Kuwaiti citizens and a Lebanese national to 10 years in prison and fined them 6.283 million dinars each for joining and financing Hezbollah.
The verdicts were issued in two separate cases following investigations by the State Security Service and the Financial Intelligence Unit.
In the first case, the court convicted the three Kuwaiti citizens and the Lebanese national on charges of joining and financing Hezbollah. Each was sentenced to 10 years in prison and fined 6.283 million dinars. The court acquitted other defendants, including a Kuwaiti woman.
In the second case, the court sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to seven years in prison and slapped a fine of 6 million dinars on charges of joining and financing Hezbollah. The case involved allegations that he provided financial support to the group through a charity committee.
The judgments followed investigations conducted by Kuwait’s State Security Service and Financial Intelligence Unit into alleged financing activities.
