Kuwait and Philippine Embassy collaborate to simplify domestic worker recruitment
The labor attaché expressed full understanding of the needs of domestic labor recruitment office owners regarding the expedited issuance of job orders, said Abdulaziz Al-Ali, the Director General of the Union of Domestic Workers.

Abdulaziz Al-Ali, the Director General of the Union of Domestic Workers, confirmed that there has been effective coordination and collaboration with the labor attaché at the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait. This partnership aims to streamline the process for Kuwaiti offices to obtain recruitment licenses from the Philippine government, as reported by Al-Rai newspaper.
Al-Ali stated in a press statement on the sidelines of the union delegation’s visit to the labor attaché at the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait, Manuel Am Dimano, that the delegation, headed by Khaled Al-Dhakhan, president of the union, was there to discuss the latest developments regarding the “clearance” for Kuwaiti offices. Following this, a job order was issued in preparation for the recruitment of Filipino domestic workers for offices that have not yet received a job order.
He added that the labor attaché expressed full understanding of the needs of domestic labor recruitment office owners regarding the expedited issuance of job orders.
He indicated that these instructions are issued by the Philippine Minister of Labor under the regulations of “Guidances and Instructions” in the Labor Appendix and the relevant departments. The aim is to achieve coordination and integration between the labor attaché and the Ministry of Labor regarding complaints received by the embassy from domestic workers or their families in the Philippines.
Al-Ali pointed out that the labor attaché instructed all embassy employees to receive any observations and complaints that hinder offices from obtaining job applications. He noted that delays are due to the numerous organizational steps needed to remove obstacles preventing their issuance.
The labor attaché expressed his willingness to cooperate by facilitating the issuance process as much as possible and addressing all obstacles faced by recruitment offices and companies.
He revealed that during the visit, all viewpoints were presented to the labor attaché, and the pressures that offices face—whether from government agencies or Kuwaiti citizens and families—were explained in order to expedite the recruitment of Filipino domestic workers.
