Municipality issues 120 violations during Jahra Industrial Area crackdown
Kuwait Municipality has stepped up its field inspection campaigns in industrial areas across Jahra Governorate as part of ongoing efforts to prevent exploitation and encroachment of state-owned land and public property.
During an inspection tour in the Jahra Industrial Area, Jahra Municipality team head Athbi Al-Bouqan said the campaign resulted in the issuance of 120 occupancy violations against commercial establishments found illegally using spaces in front of their shops without obtaining permits.
Al-Bouqan explained that the field campaigns are aimed at identifying violations related to unauthorized space exploitation and taking legal and regulatory measures against offenders, noting that such practices often obstruct roads and disrupt traffic movement within industrial areas.
He stressed the importance of obtaining the required municipal licenses before utilizing spaces adjacent to commercial shops and called on business owners to comply fully with municipal laws and regulations.
Al-Bouqan added that municipality inspection teams across all six governorates will continue carrying out intensive field campaigns and will not hesitate to take strict action against violators to ensure full compliance with Kuwait Municipality regulations and systems.
