Health Ministry announces No Ebola cases recorded in Kuwait
Preventive and precautionary measures at border crossings were raised in light of the Ebola outbreak in several African countries, despite no cases recorded in Kuwait, official Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad announced on Thursday.
In a press statement, Dr. Al-Sanad said that health monitoring and surveillance procedures for arrivals have been activated and strengthened. This includes implementing preventive assessment procedures at entry points and utilizing thermal screening systems in accordance with approved health protocols.
He emphasized the importance of avoiding travel to the following countries during this period: Uganda, South Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Al-Sanad affirmed that the health situation within the country is stable, with ongoing coordination, monitoring, and tracking of epidemiological developments. He also confirmed the readiness of public health teams and rapid response units to address any new developments.
Dr. Al-Sanad urged the public to obtain information from official sources and adhere to preventive health guidelines, including maintaining personal hygiene, avoiding contact with suspected cases, and seeking medical advice if symptoms appear after travel.
