The Norwegian Government Pension Fund retained first place with assets worth $1.63 trillion, followed by the China Investment Corporation with assets of $1.35 trillion.
Data from the Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute (SWFI) revealed that the assets of the sovereign fund managed by the Public Investment Authority rose by approximately $56.55 billion since last March and by about $177 billion over the year, approaching a total of one trillion dollars, according to Al Rai newspaper.
The authority’s assets increased from $923.45 billion in March 2024 to about $980 billion currently, according to the data. This represents an increase of $177 billion compared to July 2023, when the value of the assets was $803 billion.

The ranking of the top five funds remained unchanged. The Norwegian Government Pension Fund retained first place with assets worth $1.63 trillion, followed by the China Investment Corporation with assets of $1.35 trillion.
China’s State Administration of Foreign Exchange came in third with $1.09 trillion in assets, and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority was fourth with $993 billion in assets.
It is noteworthy that the Investment Authority has always been a global investor, holding stakes in large companies and committing to investing in emerging sectors such as semiconductors and artificial intelligence.
