“Residential Welfare” Completes delivery of electricity to 116 public buildings in Al-Mutlaa
The General Organization for Residential Welfare announced the completion of electricity delivery to 116 public buildings in the residential suburbs from N6 to N11 in Al-Mutlaa Residential City.
This follows the earlier completion of electricity supply to 115 public buildings, including the fire building in the city.
The Director General of the General Organization for Residential Welfare, M. Rashid Al-Enzi, stated that the foundation has successfully completed the operation of all public buildings in the suburbs from N6 to N11 as part of the first phase of implementing public buildings in Al-Mutlaa.
Al-Enzi further noted that 113 buildings have already been delivered to the beneficiaries, and coordination is currently underway to deliver the remaining 3 buildings.
Furthermore, Al-Enzi explained that the public buildings previously delivered offer a wide range of services to citizens, including schools, mosques, police stations, citizen service centers, shops, gas stations, health centers, and ambulance centers, as well as various service buildings affiliated with ministries and government agencies.
Second Phase
Al-Enzi announced that the Foundation has started implementing public buildings in Al-Mutlaa Residential City under the second phase, which includes the construction of 68 public buildings. These buildings are geographically distributed across all suburbs of the city.
Moreover, Al-Enzi pointed out that the Foundation is currently finalizing the procedures for several tenders for additional public buildings, in preparation for their signing and implementation. He emphasized the Foundation’s commitment to executing the public building projects with the highest quality and specifications, while ensuring that the requirements of government entities are met during the operational phase.
Road lighting
Al-Enzi revealed that the institution’s plan to operate the main road lighting network in the suburbs from N6 to N11 has been successfully completed, in coordination with the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy.
Regarding lighting poles, Al-Enzi highlighted that the first lighting poles were successfully operated on June 29, 2024, and the entire lighting project was completed by November 24, 2024, well ahead of the contractual completion date of January 2026.
Al-Enzi mentioned that work continues on the contract to operate the lighting network on the remaining main roads in other suburbs. He noted that several main roads in the N5 and N12 suburbs have already been lit, and work is ongoing to activate the sub-road lighting network within the suburbs as well.
Furthermore, Al-Enzi praised the cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy in completing the operation of public buildings and the lighting of roads and facilities in the Al-Mutlaa project. He emphasized that these efforts aim to serve the public interest and benefit citizens.
Al-Enzi expressed his gratitude to all the specialists at the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy for their unwavering cooperation with their colleagues at the General Organization for Housing Welfare.
Al-Enzi also extended his thanks to all the engineers and workers involved in the Corporation’s contracts for their efforts in achieving these successes.
