Kuwait’s Chief of Staff: Opening of ‘Volunteer’ opportunities for Naval Force

The Ministry of Defense – Presidency of the General Staff of the Army (Administration and Human Resources Authority) announced the opening of the door of volunteering to join the honor of military service in the Naval Force, as of today until 5th December, 2024.

The Defense Ministry, in a statement announced the opening of volunteer opportunities for the naval force, inviting individuals with university degrees, post-secondary diplomas, high school certificates, and those holding an eleventh-grade certificate or below to apply.

The Ministry of Defense outlined the following general conditions for volunteering:

• The volunteer must be a Kuwaiti national.
• The volunteer must be at least 18 years old and not exceed 26 years of age as of the date of the announcement.
• The applicant must be fit for military service.
• Applicant’s height should not be less than 157 centimeters.
• The applicant must be of good conduct.
• The applicant must pass the personal interview.
• The applicant must not have been previously convicted of a felony or a crime against honor and trust, unless they have been rehabilitated.
• The applicant must not have been previously dismissed from service with any government entity by a final judgment or disciplinary decision.
• The employee must submit their resignation from their current job if they are finally accepted into the naval force.

The Ministry listed the following required documents for the application:

1. Kuwaiti nationality.
2. Original Civil ID.
3. Original Birth Certificate.
4. The latest certificate obtained and certified by the Ministry of Education.
5. A letter from the Civil Service Bureau for those who have completed the age of 18.
6. A permit for employment from the National Military Service Authority for those who have completed 18 years.
7. To whom it may concern certificate from the General Organization for Social Insurance.
8. To whom it may concern certificate from the General Authority for Manpower (through an easy application).
9. A copy of the father’s nationality + a copy of the mother’s nationality.
10. If one of the parents is deceased, bring the death certificate.
11. A 6×4 personal photo with a plain background, featuring a headshot with no side view, not an instant photo, and without a beard.
12. A married person must bring the original marriage contract + a copy of him and a copy of the wife’s nationality.
13. When submitting documents, they must be valid, current, and printed on normal paper.

Details about the course:

1. The duration of the course shall be determined later.
2. The volunteer will be awarded a military rank after graduation according to his academic qualification.
