UIS Kuwait Ruby Jubilee Championship 2024: Celebrating 4 Decades of Excellence

The Ruby Jubilee Championship 2024, hosted by the United Indian School (UIS), Kuwait, came to a grand conclusion on November 16, marking 40 years of educational and sporting excellence.

The event, held at the United International Indian School, brought together students from 12 Indian schools across Kuwait for two days of spirited competition, camaraderie, and celebration.

The championship’s opening ceremony was conducted on November 15 and was graced by Mr. Anoop Kumar, Principal of New Gulf Indian School; Mr. Radhakrishnan C, Principal of United Indian School and; Mr. John Thomas (Aniyachan), Purchase Manager, UIS.

A standout mention was given to Mr. Sibi Kurian, Head of the Physical Education Department at United Indian School, whose leadership and meticulous organization ensured the event’s success.

All the events were conducted systematically under professional supervision and officials as scheduled on November 15 and 16, 2024 at the spacious premises of United International Indian School.

Results of the Championship in Various Events:

Participating School students competed in eight events, showcasing their talent and determination.

Winner: Gulf Indian School
Runner-Up: United Indian School

Badminton (Girls):

Winner: Indian Learners Own Academy
Runner-Up: Indian Educational School

Badminton (Boys):

Runner-Up: Smart Indian School

Football (Boys):

Winner: Indian Central School
Runner-Up: Gulf Indian School

Volleyball (Boys):

Winner: United Indian School
Runner-Up: Indian Learners Own Academy

Basketball (Girls):

Winner: United Indian School
Runner-Up: Indian Educational School

Basketball (Boys):

Winner: United Indian School (A Team)
Runner-Up: United Indian School (B Team)

Special Recognitions:

Individual athletes were honored with Best Player and Promising Player Awards, highlighting exceptional talent and inspiring performances.

Prize Distribution

The prize distribution ceremony was presided over by esteemed dignitaries, including Mr. Joel Jacob, Executive Administrator, United Indian School; Mr. Radhakrishnan C, Principal; Mrs. Mary Litty, Vice Principal; Mrs. Reshmi Elizabeth Zacharia, Primary Vice Principal and; Mr. Sibi Kurian, PE HOD, UIS. Winners and runners-up were awarded trophies and medals in recognition of their achievements.

Overall Champions

The United Indian School, Kuwait, emerged as the Overall Champions, excelling across multiple categories with unmatched teamwork and dedication.

The United Indian School Management and Staff appreciated and thanked the School Managements, Principals, PE Teachers and Coaches of Gulf Indian School, Indian Community School, Smart Indian School, United International Indian School, Indian Educational School, Indian Central School, Indian Learners Own Academy, Indian Public School, Indian International School Mangaf, Indian School of Excellence and Indian English Academy School for sending their teams to take part in this mega event.

Post-Championship Gathering to Honour Winners

On Sunday, November 24, 2024, United Indian School held a special gathering to celebrate the accomplishments of its winning and runner-up teams. Mr. Koshy Abraham, Managing Director of Fame International and a distinguished sports figure, graced the assembly as the chief Guest.

A former Kerala State and University Basketball player, and patron of the Indian Basketball Association in Kuwait, Mr. Abraham’s commitment to sports development has been an inspiration.

All the winners, runners-up and individual champions were honoured by the Chief Guest, Executive Administrator, Principal and Vice Principals.

During the ceremony, Mr. Joel, Executive Administrator, presented a memento to Mr. Koshy Abraham as a token of gratitude.

The Ruby Jubilee Championship 2024 celebrated four decades of United Indian School’s legacy and also fostered a sense of unity and sportsmanship among young athletes. It stands as a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic education and the spirit of competition.
