This week on March 18, ‘The Guest Show’ on Radio Kuwait International English Station organizes a show to celebrate International Women’s Day with the extraordinary Alison Shan Price, MBE, FRGS.
Alison wears many different hats. She is a theatre personality, researcher, speaker and uses her work to bridge cultural divides. Founder and CEO of One World actors, a UK social enterprise specializing in cross-cultural exchange through performance, she has been the energy behind almost all notable theatre productions in Kuwait in recent years.
In 201, Alison was awarded the MBE in Her Majesty’s New Year’s Honours List for Services to Dramatic Arts in Kuwait and the Middle East. At present, Alison is also researching and lecturing on Middle Eastern history. She specializes in the development of Anglo-Arab relations, and female Arabists between 1850-1950. For her work, she was awarded a Fellowship Of the Royal Geographical Society.
