Masterclass Culinary Workshop awards chef students in Salmiyah
Fourteen chef students received their certificates of attendance and completion of culinary workshops from leading Master Chef Mariefe Torio.
• Nine chef students completed workshops in breads and pastries, four in bread-making essentials, and one Master Chef in Gourmet Delicacies, receiving their certificates before year-end.

The Masterclass Culinary Workshop hosted a certificate awarding ceremony for its chef students on Friday morning at the Chow King event hall in Little Manila, Salmiyah. The event was led by Master Chef MariefeTorio, with workshop administrator Ricky Laxaoverseeing the proceedings.
Fourteen chef students received their certificates of attendance and completion of culinary workshops from one of the leading Master Chefs, Torio, in the presence of guest and event sponsor Ariel De La Cruz, Country Manager of Jollibee and Chow King in Kuwait.
In his opening remarks, workshop administrator Chef Laxa provided a brief background on the school and proudly highlighted its 878 graduates, with fifteen Master Chefs who have led the classes since June 2018.
Nine chef students completed workshops on breads and pastries, four on the essentials of bread making, and one Master Chef completed a course in Gourmet Delicacies. The event offered chef students the opportunity to receive their certificates before the end of the year.
Masterclass expressed its gratitude to Masterchefs Jay Dan Belleza and Mariel Macalalad for their tremendous support in leading the classes on Japanese Cuisine, Breads and Pastries, and the Art of Cake Decorating.
The workshop administrator added that new sets of workshops will be introduced in 2025, featuring more practical and cost-effective ingredients and procedures, and hopes to provide an appropriate venue for the classes in the coming year.
