Kuwait will experience very hot weather during the day and warm to mild conditions at night over the weekend, with relatively humid conditions expected in coastal areas, Met acting department director Darrar Al-Ali said. He added, weather maps and numerical models show Kuwait is under the influence of an extension of the Indian monsoon low, bringing a relatively hot and humid air mass along with northwesterly to variable winds ranging from light to moderate.
On Thursday, temperatures are forecast to reach 45 to 47°C, with northwesterly to variable winds at 8 to 38 km/h. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves of 1 to 4 feet. Overnight, temperatures will fall to 25 to 27°C, with winds of 8 to 28 km/h and some high clouds. Coastal areas will remain relatively humid.
Friday will remain very hot, with maximum temperatures of 45 to 47°C. Winds will range from 8 to 40 km/h, occasionally becoming active, with some high clouds. Sea conditions will be light to moderate, with waves of 1 to 5 feet. Friday night will be warm to mild, with northwesterly winds of 12 to 35 km/h and minimum temperatures of 26 to 28°C. Some high clouds are expected, while sea waves will range from 1 to 5 feet.
Saturday will also be very hot, with maximum temperatures of 45 to 47°C. Northwesterly winds will range from 12 to 38 km/h, while sea waves will reach 2 to 5 feet. Saturday night will be warm to mild, with winds of 10 to 32 km/h. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 25 and 27°C, with sea waves of 2 to 4 feet.
Overall, the department expects the weekend to remain dominated by hot to very hot daytime conditions and relatively mild nights, with coastal areas experiencing higher humidity.
