Higher Education Ministry partners with ‘Quadrabay’ to verify authenticity of medical qualifications

Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Lamia Al-Mulhim, has announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with Quadrabay Verification Services (QVS), with Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Nader Al-Jalal, Assistant Undersecretary for Scholarships, Equivalencies, and Cultural Relations Ghaida Madkour, and the Minister’s advisors present at the event.

Al-Mulhim emphasized that this agreement marks a significant step forward in the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to ensure the authenticity of academic qualifications, particularly in the medical sector, according to Al-Rai daily.

She highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and professionalism in academic degree equivalency, reinforcing the principles of fairness and enhancing public trust in the competency of professionals.

The agreement’s first phase will focus on verifying the authenticity of academic and professional certificates for medical personnel through Primary Source Verification. This initiative aims to safeguard the health system by ensuring that qualified professionals are working within the sector.

She further explained that this collaboration will streamline the degree equivalency process, combat academic fraud, mitigate the risks of employing unqualified individuals, reduce human error through a secure digital verification platform, and uphold academic integrity in recruitment, especially within the medical field.

This partnership will also bolster local and international confidence in the Ministry’s accreditation procedures and strengthen relationships between higher education and regulatory authorities. Additionally, it supports Kuwait’s global standing as a country that adopts professional verification processes and adheres to high standards of quality.

Al-Mulhim concluded by reiterating the Ministry’s dedication to improving verification and accreditation mechanisms in line with Kuwait’s vision for a modern educational system based on transparency and governance, under the leadership of Minister Dr. Nader Al-Jalal.
