PAFN issues 23 citations during Hawalli inspection campaign

The Hawalli Governorate Inspection Department of the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition, conducted an inspection tour of several food establishments in the governorate, which resulted in the issuance of 23 various types of citations.
In a press statement issued Sunday, the Authority said the tour aimed to verify the extent to which food establishments comply with applicable health regulations and requirements.
The violations included employing food handlers without valid health certificates and a worker with visible wounds. The statement added that other violations included expired health licenses, failure to adhere to hygiene and health and technical requirements, handling food under unsanitary conditions, and exceeding the licensed area.
The Authority affirmed its commitment to continuing its inspection campaigns and tours of food establishments and taking necessary measures against violators to enhance compliance with health requirements and safeguard consumer health and safety.
