Kuwait Customs thwart airport attempt to smuggle 500 suspected narcotic pills

Kuwait Customs officers at Terminal 5 of Kuwait International Airport have thwarted an attempt to smuggle about 500 pills suspected to be narcotic and psychotropic substances. The pills have been confiscated and the Asian passenger has been referred to the concerned authorities.
The General Administration of Customs said a customs inspector became suspicious of the passenger’s bag, searched it and found two white boxes containing pills suspected to be “Zinam,” listed on the schedule of psychotropic substances, along with a substance suspected to be the narcotic ecstasy.
