Global Music Icon Steve Barakatt speaks exclusively at AUK

The American University of Kuwait (AUK) hosted an exclusive seminar last week titled ‘Compose Your Masterpiece: Harmonizing Your Life to Create Your Own Success’, by world-renowned Canadian composer, pianist, and music producer Steve Barakatt. Organized in partnership with the Embassy of Canada, the event offered a unique opportunity for the community to gain valuable insights into achieving success by harmonizing passion, perseverance, and adaptability.
With over 30 years of experience in the global music industry, Barakatt has built a remarkable career collaborating with leading artists, brands, and organizations worldwide. In this seminar, Barakatt shared views on how he has harmonized his life to create professional success while navigating the challenges of a rapidly changing world. Attendees also heard the inspiring story behind his composition, Lullaby, the anthem of the UN Children’s Fund, UNICEF, which was launched by symphony orchestras on five continents and from the International Space Station.
In his inspiring address Steve said, “Life is like composing a masterpiece—each decision, each step is part of a larger journey. I am honored to share my experiences with the next generation of leaders and creatives here in Kuwait. My hope is that this seminar will inspire them to find their passion, craft their narrative, and create something that resonates deeply.”
