NAFO Global Kuwait marks 20th anniversary with grand celebration
NAFO recognizes business icons at 20th anniversary celebration and features live performance by Job Kurian
NAFO Global Kuwait, celebrated two decades of impactful community service and cultural unity,with a memorable 20th anniversary event, ‘MEGHAM’ that was held at the American International School Auditorium, Maidan Hawalli.
The highlight of the evening was a glittering stage performance by the acclaimed playback singer and composer, Job Kurian and the celebrated playback singer, Anila Rajeev.
Their powerful vocals and enchanting stage presence captivated the audience, creating a memorable experience for over 1200 attendees.This spectacular live concert set an electrifying tone for the entire celebration.
As a part of the celebrations, NAFO Global Kuwait honoured four distinguished leaders with the ‘NAFO Global Business Awards 2024’.
The ‘Entrepreneurship Award’ recognized; Sunil Parakapadath, Chairman of Royal Seagull Groupand; Sunil Menon, Director of AQ Global, for their innovation and leadership in business.
Whereas, Krishnan Balakrishnan, Deputy CEO and CFO at Jazeera Airways, and Pradeep Menon, CFO at Al Rashed Group, were awarded with the ‘Corporate Icon Award’ for their exceptional contributions for corporate excellence in the region.
The Guest of Honor for the event was, Fahad Al Aradi, Advisor to the Minister of Electricity & Water,and Member of Kuwait Municipality.
Al Aradi inaugurated the celebration by lighting the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing NAFO’s journey of cultural cohesion and community support. Special greetings from, Bader Barak on behalf of Her Highness, Sheikha Intisar Al Mohammad Al Sabah, added further prestige to the occasion.
Naveen C P, President of NAFO Global Kuwait, delivered an inspiring keynote address, while AnishNair, General Secretary, welcomed the attendees.
Program convener, Rakesh Unnithan, concluded the event with a vote of thanks, recognizing the invaluable support of NAFO’s sponsors and dedicated members.
The celebration also welcomed Vijayan Nair, Chairman of the NAFO Advisory Board; Unnikrishnan Kurup, Treasurer and; Sunitha Vijayakrishnan, Chief Coordinator of the Ladies Wing.
A commemorative souvenir marking NAFO’s 20-year legacy was released by Nisha Sunil, COO of Phoenix Group, in the presence of other sponsors and officials.
The anniversary event also threw a spotlight on ‘NAFO Global Sneha Sparsham’ – NAFO’s flagship welfare initiative that provides essential support to the less fortunate.
Through a visual presentation, attendees were given an insight into Sneha Sparsham’s 20 impactful projects in humanitarian aid and education. Vijay Kumar Menon, Chairman of Sneha Sparsham, was honored during the ceremony for his dedication and leadership in these initiatives.
The NAFO Symphony, by NAFO’s youth members,headed by Rohit Syam, presented Ganesh Stuti,and sang a melodious song on Kerala Pirvi, which added to the festive spirit, underscoring the organization’s commitment to cultural heritage.
As the event drew curtains, the 20th anniversary celebration concluded with deep gratitude that was extended to all attendees and well-wishers, as NAFO Global Kuwait reaffirmed its dedication incommunity development, and cultural pride.
