PAFN destroys 195 kilos of meat citing food safety violations in Farwaniya

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition has intensified its inspection campaigns across Kuwait, with a recent field inspection in Farwaniya uncovering several food safety violations and resulting in the destruction of 195.2 kilograms of meat.

The authority said the inspection was carried out by the Farwaniya Food Inspection Control Department as part of its ongoing monitoring plan to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and protect public health.

During the inspection campaign, authorities recorded a violation related to the handling of adulterated food, along with two violations involving workers handling food without valid health certificates.

A further violation was issued against an employer for allowing a worker to perform food-related duties without the required health certificate.

PAFN stressed that inspection campaigns will continue across food establishments to ensure compliance with health regulations, safeguard consumers, and take legal action against establishments that violate food safety requirements.
