Kuwait holds Iran responsible for repeated attacks, vows to defend its territory

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned what it described as repeated Iranian attacks targeting the State of Kuwait, calling them a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the country’s security and stability.
In a statement, the ministry said the attacks constitute a clear violation of international law, the UN Charter and UN Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026), while posing a serious risk to civilians and critical infrastructure.
The ministry warned that the continued attacks undermine regional de-escalation efforts and threaten peace and stability across the region, reiterating Kuwait’s categorical rejection of such actions.
Kuwait also affirmed its right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its security and defend its territory, holding Iran fully responsible for the attacks in accordance with international law and the UN Charter.
