Iran’s Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned recent US military strikes, stating that they have rendered the existing ceasefire “practically meaningless.”
In a statement issued on Thursday, the ministry described the attacks as “illegal and criminal,” saying they constitute a “flagrant violation” of international norms and agreements.
It added that the strikes undermine the nearly two-month-old ceasefire arrangement, effectively nullifying its purpose and credibility.
The ministry further stated that responsibility for what it described as “extremely serious consequences” lies with the leadership of the United States.
The comments mark a sharp escalation in rhetoric amid already heightened regional tensions following the reported strikes.
