Sahel’s new customs service makes individual authorization easy
The new service enables individuals to authorize others to handle shipments, documents, vehicles, and travel agency tasks on their behalf.
Yousef Kazem Abbas, the official spokesman for the unified government application for electronic services (Sahel), has announced the introduction of new services by the General Administration of Customs through the application. These services include requesting individual authorization and inquiring about individual authorization.
Kazem explained that these services allow an individual to authorize another person on his behalf to receive a shipment or package, or to receive the “manifest” or policy, as well as any documents related to clearing shipments, receiving and delivering documents, receiving a vehicle, registering a vehicle, or issuing a true copy, as well as the work of a travel agency. With a Kuwaiti car, this can be done directly through the “Sahel” application for electronic government services.
He stated that the General Administration of Customs is working to develop its services rapidly in accordance with its vision seeking to achieve digital transformation of services and enhance their ease of use by citizens.
