Prime Minister orders activation of health insurance hospitals

Public Works Minister inspects T2 Terminal, calls for speedy completion to meet rising air travel demand

His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah stressed the importance of accelerating the operation of health insurance hospitals, describing the project as a strategic national initiative that will enhance the state’s financial sustainability, strengthen healthcare infrastructure and support the development of Kuwait’s medical system in line with the highest international standards.

He said this during a meeting which was held under his chairmanship to review the latest project developments. Senior officials discussed the progress and operational plans.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, Advisor at the Diwan of the Prime Minister Dr. Khaled Al-Fadhel, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Acting Head of the Diwan of the Prime Minister Sheikh Khaled Mohammed Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health Sheikh Dr. Salman Khalifa Abdullah Al-Sabah, Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority Sheikh Saud Salem Abdulaziz Al-Sabah, Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Assistant Undersecretary for Private Medical Services Dr. Fatima Al-Najjar, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Health Assurance Hospitals Company Mishari Al-Hajri.

Meanwhile, Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan went on an inspection tour of the new passenger terminal (T2) project at Kuwait International Airport as part of the government’s continued follow-up on major development projects, local Arabic daily reports.

During the visit, Al-Mashaan reviewed the progress of construction works and emphasized the need to maintain momentum and accelerate completion while ensuring full compliance with quality and safety standards.

She noted that the T2 terminal project represents a strategic milestone in supporting the civil aviation sector and enhancing Kuwait’s capacity to accommodate the growing demand for air travel and transportation.
