Dental center shut for 3 months over professional violations
Health Minister Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi has ordered the implementation of a decision by the Medical Liability Authority to close a dental center for three months after an investigation confirmed serious professional violations.
The Ministry of Health said the closure follows the completion of legal and technical procedures initiated after inspection teams detected significant breaches at the facility.
The center had previously been placed under temporary closure by ministerial order pending the outcome of the investigation.
According to the ministry, the case was referred to the Medical Liability Authority under the provisions of Law No. 70 of 2020, which regulates the practice of medicine and allied health professions and outlines the rights of patients and health facilities.
Following its review, the Medical Liability Authority informed the ministry that its technical committee had established a professional violation against a Kuwaiti doctor serving as both the license holder and medical director of the dental center.
Based on the committee’s findings, the authority imposed a three-month full closure of the facility in accordance with Article 75, Paragraph 2, Clause 4 of Law No. 70 of 2020.
The Health Ministry said the minister has directed the immediate enforcement of the decision as part of efforts to uphold professional standards and ensure patient safety.
