Indian Embassy extends emergency-only consular services until July 19

The Embassy of India in Kuwait has announced that Indian consular, passport, and visa services will remain restricted to emergency cases only until Sunday, July 19, 2026, citing administrative reasons.

In an urgent notice issued by the Embassy, officials said emergency services will be provided only to applicants who submit supporting documents demonstrating the urgent nature of their request.

The Embassy clarified that the emergency services available during this period may include the issuance of Tatkal passports, NRI certificates, short-validity passports for applicants whose Civil ID validity is expiring, Emergency Certificates, and E-Visas.

However, applications related to normal passports, attestations, and regular visas will not be accepted or processed during the restricted-service period.

The Embassy further announced that no Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) in Kuwait will accept applications until further notice.

Applicants seeking emergency assistance have been asked to visit the Consular Wing of the Embassy between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon only. During these hours, officials will consider only emergency cases supported by relevant documentation.

The Embassy said additional details will be communicated in due course and urged the Indian community in Kuwait to rely solely on the Embassy’s official communication channels and social media platforms for updates and announcements.
