President Donald J. Trump praised as extremely good the US-Chinese economic relationship.
The world’s two biggest economies witness their best ever stage, he said, during the summit talks with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Thursday morning.
The bilateral relations have a promising future and both countries are able to solve their problems quickly through consultation and phone calls, China’s CCTV quoted President Trump as saying.
President Trump arrived in Beijing last night on a two-day visit to China – the first for a US leader in nine years. He paid the previous visit to China in November 2017.
The agenda of the summit is expected to focus on the trade tariffs, the hi-tech competition, Taiwan and the war in Iran.
