PAM lifts ban on peak summer outdoor work

The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has announced the end of the seasonal ban on working in open areas. The authority said the decision follows Ministerial Resolution No. 3 of 2026, which regulates work in open workplaces during periods when work is prohibited due to unsuitable climatic conditions.
Kuwait’s annual peak-summer outdoor work ban runs from June 1 to August 31, prohibiting work in open areas directly under the sun between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm each day. The measure is intended to protect workers from extreme heat and ensure safer working conditions during the hottest hours of the day.
The authority added that inspection campaigns will continue to monitor employers’ compliance with occupational safety and health requirements, with necessary measures to be taken against violations.
