Kuwait has issued 100 million dinars in Treasury bonds and public debt Tawarruq with a seven-year maturity and a uniform yield of 3.625 percent, the Central Bank of Kuwait announced Wednesday. The Central Bank, acting on behalf of the Ministry of Finance, said the issuance was conducted through a competitive auction at a uniform yield of 3.625 percent.
The latest issue forms part of Kuwait’s public debt instruments issued by the Central Bank on behalf of the Ministry of Finance. The seven-year tenor extends the maturity of the government securities to 2033. Central Bank data shows that Kuwait has also conducted several government debt issuances this year, including five-year and three-year instruments, with yields varying according to maturity and market conditions.
The latest issuance follows an August 19 issue of 100 million dinars in five-year government debt instruments at a uniform yield of 3.375 percent.
