Tanima Kuwait’s 16th National Tug of War Competition was held at the Kuwait Indian School on 28th October. The Competition commenced under the leadership of Chief Referee D K Dileep, Mr Binoy, Jins and Jinu along with the enthusiastic participation of Babuji Batheri.
The ULC KKB Sports Club team bagged the tallest trophy. Sancilia Everrolling Gold Cup in the Middle East, the cup features an estimated height of 6 feet, along with this the team also won a cash prize worth Rs 1,00,001.
The second place was secured by Rajish team, the team has now won the competition two years in a row. They were awarded a cash prize worth Rs 75,001 and a 5.5 feet tall trophy mantling the Blue line Ever rolling trophy.
The second runners-up for the Nest & Mist Everrolling Cup were Ai Ali Bin Ali Friends of Kuwait-B team, they were awarded a cash price worth Rs 50,001.
The 4 quarter-finalists trophies and the cash price worth Rs 15,001 were bagged by Golden Logistics Raju Challengers, Dalia Hotel Apartments Team Abbasia-C, Biju Oxygen Team Abbasia-B and Kuwait Truck Center Shuwaikh KKDA.
Individual proficiencies were also adjudged with Biju Silver Sevens for Thanima Sports Person of the Year Award, Fair Play Team Award to the Golden Logistics Raju Challengers, Best Back Baiju KKDA, Best Coach Nikhil Friends of Rajish, Best Front Illyas Captain Friends of Kuwait-B, Shibu Dalia Hotel Apartments Team Abbasia-C.
Idukki Association A and B Teams, Sera KKB, Bosco KKB, Siver Sevens, Aha Kuwait A and B Teams, Legends of KKB, Raju Friends of Kuwait were also awarded with the participation trophies.
In the conclusion of this event, the teams as well as spectators are eagerly looking forward to Onathanima 2023.
