Ali Shahbaz Ali is the first Bahraini to be elected to the Board of Toastmasters International from District 20  (Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq and Egypt). He is also awarded the status of Registered Parliamentarian by the  National Association of Parliamentarians, USA.  

Ali Shahbaz Ali Shah, of Muharraq, Bahrain, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Toastmasters  International, the world’s leading organization devoted to communication and leadership skills development. Shah  was elected to the 2021–2023 two-year term at the organization’s 90th annual International Convention, held virtually  Aug. 23-28. Ali Shahbaz Ali will represent Region 11 which is spread over 38 countries in the MENA region.  

As a member of the Toastmasters International Board of Directors, Shah is a “working ambassador” for the  organization. He works with the Board to develop and support the policies and procedures that guide Toastmasters  International in fulfilling its mission. 

Shah is a director of professional development and business strategist. In his role, Shah participates in board meetings  to approve various organizational policies. He also oversees creating standard operating procedures, feasibility  reports, and security policies. Additionally, he is responsible for developing, updating, and approving effective  training programs and materials. 

Shah is a board member and key advisor on management information systems, robotics, cloud computing, and  artificial intelligence projects. While lecturing on cloud computing in 2012, a new concept to be taught, he was  named employee of the month at Bahrain Polytechnic. 

A Toastmaster since 2004, Shah is a member of his home club, the Bahrain Advanced Toastmasters Club, in  Manama, Bahrain. He has held a number of high-profile leadership positions within Toastmasters and has attained  the Distinguished Toastmaster designation – the highest level of educational achievement in the organization. He also  served as the district 20 Director during 2016-2017 for the largest District in the world which comprised of 7  countries within the region.
