ICS presents ‘Deedar’ with Playback Singers, Soulful & Rocking Performer, Nooran Sisters Live in Concert On Friday 30th September 2022, at Auditorium AIS near Police Station Maidan Hawally Kuwait at 7.00pm.
Ustad Gulshan Mir, the grandson of Bibi Nooran and son of Swarn Nooran, a Sufi singer in the 1970s, began training the sisters when they were very young.
The Nooran Sisters – Jyoti and Sultana individually of ‘Tung Tung’ fame come from a family of musicians. Their song “Allah Hoo” was a YouTube hit. After that, songs such as “Mae Yaar Da Diwana” and “Patakha Guddi” played an important role in boosting the duo’s popularity.
They have been trained in the field of traditional “Sufi Music” as well as Punjabi & Hindi Folk.
They got their first break in Bollywood with the song Patakha Guddi in the movie Highway in 2014 (Aliya Bhatt) with music director A.R. Rahman. “Jee Ve Sohneya” song is sung by Nooran Sisters from the movie Jab Harry Met Sejal starring Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma.
The movies they have sung in include Singh is Bliing (2015), Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015), Paayum Puli (2015 film), Sultan (2016), Mirzya (2016), Tanu Weds Manu: Returns (2015) Dangal (2016), Chaar Sahibzaade: Rise of Banda Singh Bahadur (2016), Jab Harry Met Sejal (2017), Qarib Qarib Singlle (2017), Zero (2018), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 (2018), Manmarziyaan (2018), Bharat (2019) and Qismat 2 (2021) etc.
Exceptional talent of the Nooran Sisters gained international recognition. They received Gima Awards, Screen Awards, Mirchi Music Awards, Coke Studio at MTV, Mirchi music Award Punjabi (Female Voice of the Year-Jinde Meriye) etc.
Music sensations Nooran sisters has recorder numbers of music album & songs ; Deedar, Aae Khuda, Nitt Khair Mange, Dastoor, Sawan, Rooh, Masti Kulli Raah Vich, Mere Sai, Sabak Ishq Da, Mehboob, Sayio Ni, Yaar Di Gaddi, Allah Hu, Damru, Bullah Nachiya, Daata Jee, Main Deewni, Jinde Mariye etc.
