Fahad Al Musallam, the Kuwaiti motocross superstar, has just announced his participation in the Kuwait Digital Race Championship (KDRC). The tournament will take place online this month, over the weekend of June 18 to 20.
The virtual race is being organized and executed by the Kuwait International Motorsports Club (KIMC).
The Kuwait Digital Race Championship will be played through the exclusive, best-selling Sony PlayStation 4 game Gran Turismo Sport, the latest in the now over 22-year driving simulation franchise.
Fahad Al Musallam couldn’t be more excited for his upcoming virtual race. In the tournament he will be taking his vehicle of choice, the Porsche 911 RSR (991) ‘17. The RSR is a competition machine and Al Musallam is confident, seeing how he’s been practicing his times with it.
The trusted partners in the tournament are the Kuwait Public Authority for Sport, the Arabian Beverage Company (ABC), and the FIA Action for Road Safety.
The KIMC is the country organizer of FIA Action For Road Safety race tournaments that include rally and road races.
The virtual tournament winners will move on from the national finals to the world finals, which will be held later this year in France. Details to follow.
