The IMA Kuwait conducted a Grand Seerah Conference, on 4 November at Masjid Al Kabeer in coordination with the Ministry of Awqaaf and Islamic Affairs.

The program started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Mr Abdul Hakeem and conducted by Mr Waleed Umari.

Followed by welcome speeches delivered by Mr. Shamvil Pervez, the President of Indian Muslim Association Kuwait and Mr. Masood Shahab, the Former President.

The Guest of Honor Engr. Syed Sadatullah Hussaini, The National President of JIH India expressed his delight on being invited to such a prestigious event, he explained that the teachings of Islam guide humanity to righteousness and we must strive to attain this at any cost.

He also said that we must use the life of Prophet Muhammad PBUH as our guide to navigate through the ropes of life. The Seerah of Prophet Muhammad PBUH is a revolutionary period in human history, with values of humanity being taught, as well as striving to remove oppression, slavery and emancipation of women, during this a new shape was given to our society.

Then a speech was given by Mr. Abdullah Thakur who highlighted the need of a positive attitude and the importance of not feeling defeated if a failure occurs, he stated that we must put in all efforts to achieve our goals.

Dr Rizwan Rafeequi, another speaker from JIH India, addressed the audience on the topic “The Present Situations and the Responsibilities of our youth in the light of Seerah” with examples of the companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He said that in the light of the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is what the youth must focus on.

This Grand Conference had also organized three different programs earlier during the day. These programs were titled as Professionals Meet Program, Ladies Wing Program in the light of Seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) along with a Children’s program.

The ladies program was organized separately by IMA Ladies Wing, during which Engr.Syed Sadatullah Hussaini, spoke about the role of woman as ambassadors of Islam.

The next guest speaker, Sister Sameena Afshan, Editor at Aura Magazine, shed light on the necessity of character building and personality development in women.

This special session exclusive for ladies came to end by an interactive quiz session and concluded with a Vote of thanks by the Co-ordinator of IMA Ladies wing.

Other dignitaries who attended the program were Mr. Muhammad Nasser Al-Mutairi – The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs for External Relations and Information, Dr Khalid Al Mazkoor – a famous scholar in Kuwait and the Chairman of Social Reform Society, (جمعية الاصلاح الاجتماعي الكويت), Mr. Jamal Al Noori – Chairman board of Sheikh Abdullah Nouri Charity Society (جمعية الشيخ عبدالله النوري الخيرية), Mr. Khalid Al Saba -Director of IPC Kuwait, Mr. Mohamed Ali Abdullah , Mr. Ibrahim Fargalli,  Mr. Mohamed Jamal representing the Ministry of Awqaaf and Islamic Affairs Kuwait.

Towards the end Mementoes were presented to all the Arab guest speakers and dignitaries by the members of the Central Committee of IMA Kuwait.

IMA focusses to provide a platform for enhancement of expatriates living in Kuwait for their spiritual well-being through various programs. It looks forward for organizing various beneficial programs in future, considering the occasions and requirements of expatriates.
