This week on Thursday, July 1st, The Guest Show will host an extraordinary Kuwaiti woman. Dr. Amar Behbehani is a super-achiever who wears many hats and wears them all with aplomb.
She is the first certified Art Psychotherapist in Kuwait touching lives with her compassion and empathy. She is also a Professor of Design and Innovation at the College of Architecture, Kuwait University. She is a Senior Clinical Psychologist who established Shore Consultancy that provides psychological, educational, innovation & strategic design and organizational psychology consultancies.
As a female leader, Dr. Amar is passionate about improving the quality of human life through education, innovation, creativity, and compassion. Her work as an activist-led her to co-found Soroptimist Kuwait, a worldwide sisterhood that works to empower, enable and educate women. She was the President of The Soroptimists till recently.
On The Guest Show, Dr. Behbehani speaks of her journey of learning, her family of super achievers, her career, her work in Wellness, her relationship with The Soroptimists, the connection between art and therapy, and the effect of the pandemic on mental health in Kuwait.
