Badminton Players from Pakistani Community Organized Pakistan Independence Day Cup with the spirit of Patriotism and Affection for the country under the banner of “Hum Sub Ka Pakistan”. Pakistani Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Syed Sajjad Haider along with his wife Mrs. Ambreen Mustafa, Farrukh Amir Sial and other Embassy Staff graced the event and participated in Final prize distribution ceremony. Well-known Dignitaries from Pakistani Community including Hafiz Shabbir, Arif Butt, Rana Ijaz, Jameel Ahmed, Babar Prince, Mian Arshad, Zubari Sharfi, Irfan Nagra, Ayub Bhatti, Aqeel Danish along with Pakistan Women’s Forum Team Members Hina Saleem, Nighat Tariq, Nadia Mohammad were also present at the ceremony. Radio Kuwait Urdu Service Announcer Ms. Nida Mirza conducted the event.

Independence Day Tournament comprises matches of Beginners, Advanced, Professional, Women and Kids categories where Male, Female and children participated with full enthusiasm. All the participants present best of their abilities in the game.

M.Mazzan Won the Beginner Single category after defeating Yasin Mian while advanced category was grabbed by M.Mohsin. Ahmed Sajeel was Runner-up of the final game. Women’s Single was won by Zahra defeating Mariam. Professional Single Title won by Abdul Jabbar Defeating Ubaidullah. Head Coach, Abdul Jabbar, while talking to media, mentioned that Pakistani Community has huge potential and love for badminton. We urge everyone to come forward and participate in such kind of healthy actives which is good for their health.

In the prize distribution ceremony, Certificates of Appreciation and medals were presented to Pareesa Jabbar, Maira Naveed, Ayan Fraz, Zayan Fraz, Umer Mohsin, Sara Fawad, Talha Umair, Maaz Fraz, Basma Adnan (Best Perfromance), Thanishaa Shiri Gowri Sankar, M.Mazzan, Yasin Mian, Imad Ubaid, Abdullah, M.Mohsin, Ahmed Sjeel, Mubarak, Fowad, Zahra, Mariam, Saima Fraz, Roquiya, Abdul Jabbar, Ubaidullah, Irfan and Albert. A Special Shield momento was presented to Kumar.

On this occasion, H.E. Ambassador of Pakistan, Syed Sajjad applauded all the efforts exerted by the organizer to conduct this beautiful event to mark the Independence Day of Pakistan while staying abroad. He was fully Satisfied with all the Precautionary measures taken to conduct this tournament. He also highlighted the achievements of Pakistanis in Kuwait in other areas such as Health, Financial Services and Technology. He hoped that these trends will continue and Pakistani Community in Kuwait will play their positive and important role for the Progress and prosperity of Kuwait. H.E. Congratulated the Working Team of this tournament, specially Inam Morganite, Abdul Jabbar, Noman Aslam, Sajjad Nadeem, Mohammad Fahad, Nida Mirza and M. Irfan Shafiq for putting their efforts and conducted a beautiful event to mark the Independence Day.
