MOI seizes 20,000 Captagon pills, arrests 10 suspects in seven drug cases across Kuwait

The Ministry of Interior announced that the Directorate General for Drug Control arrested 10 suspects in seven separate cases involving and seized narcotics and psychotropic substances intended for trafficking and personal use.

The ministry said the operations were part of ongoing security efforts to combat drug-related crimes and protect society from the dangers of narcotics.

Authorities seized a large quantity of illegal substances and related materials during the raids, including 20,000 Captagon pills, 500 grams of hashish, 84 grams of methamphetamine, 100 capsules of various psychotropic substances, seven Lyrica capsules, and 28 glass tubes containing chemical liquids.

Security officers also confiscated four sensitive weighing scales used for preparing drugs for sale, packaging materials for distribution, and 1,940 dinars believed to be proceeds from drug sales.

In one operation, a suspect caught allegedly selling Captagon pills attempted to escape by ramming his vehicle against security patrol cars.

However, officers managed to stop and arrest him.

The Ministry confirmed that all suspects and seized materials were referred to the competent authorities for legal action.
