Ministry of Justice hosts ‘Wefaq’ program for premarital wellness

The event covered engagement, marriage contract conditions, spousal rights, guardianship and obedience, marital issues, conflict resolution, happy home tips, crisis management, and marriage obstacles.

  • The premarital rehabilitation program, overseen by the Family Counseling Department, discussed the benefits and advantages of marriage and the ideal qualities of spouses.

  • Social and psychological aspects of marriage, including the fundamentals of family success and successful dialogue skills were also reviewed during the program.

The Ministry of Justice’s Family and Arbitration Sector coordinated the ‘Wefaq’ course, a premarital rehabilitation program, overseen by the Family Counseling Department.

Dr. Bassam Al-Shatti, a lecturer in the course, discussed the benefits and advantages of marriage and the ideal qualities of spouses.

On the first day of the session, Al-Shatti covered several topics, including engagement, conditions of the marriage contract, shared rights between spouses, the concept of guardianship and the obedience it entails, problems between spouses, frameworks for resolving them, steps to a happy home, ethical handling of crises, and obstacles to marriage.

On the second day of the course, lecturer Mashael Al-Mishaal reviewed the social and psychological aspects of marriage, including the fundamentals of family success and successful dialogue skills.

Al-Mishaal discussed problem-solving skills, the concept of marital compatibility and its types, and concluded her talk by addressing the factors that influence the compatibility process between spouses.
