Kuwait’s exports to the Gulf countries increased to about KD 70 million in the first four months of the year, representing 46.4% of total Kuwaiti exports.
The total value of non-oil exports of Kuwaiti origin grew by 7.6% during the first four months of this year compared to the same period in 2023. The value increased from KD 95.2 million in the first four months of 2023 to KD 102.5 million in the same period in 2024, an increase of KD 7.3 million. This data was reported by Al Anba newspaper, based on statistical information issued by the Department of International Relations at the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
Kuwaiti exports reach various countries around the world, including the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Arab nations, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas.
Exports to the Gulf countries
Non-oil exports of Kuwaiti origin to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries accounted for the largest percentage of total exports worldwide, according to data obtained by Al-Anbaa newspaper.
The volume of exports to the Gulf countries reached about KD 70 million during the first four months of the year, compared to KD 65 million for the same period last year, an increase of five million dinars and a growth rate of 7.6%. Kuwaiti exports to the Gulf countries constituted 46.4% of the total exports of Kuwaiti origin.
Exports to Arab nations hit KD 27.7 million
Kuwaiti exports to Arab countries came in second place, reaching KD 27.7 million during the first four months of 2024, compared to KD 27.2 million for the same period last year, an increase of KD 500,000 or 1.8%. This means they constitute 27.6% of total exports.
Europe ranks third in importing Kuwaiti-origin exports
The countries of the European Continent ranked third among importers of Kuwaiti-origin exports, with KD 3.6 million during the first four months of 2024, compared to KD 2.3 million for the same period in 2023, indicating an increase of KD 1.3 million, or a growth rate of 56.5%.
Exports to Africa totaled KD 283,000 dinars
Regarding Kuwaiti exports to the countries of the African continent, they totaled KD 283,000 dinars in the first four months of 2024, up from KD 155,000 dinars in the same period in 2023, marking an increase of KD 128,000, or a growth rate of 53%.
Exports to Asia and Australia
Kuwaiti exports to Asian countries and Australia reached about KD 209,000 in the first four months of 2024, up from KD 121,000 in the same period of 2023, showing an increase of KD 88,000, or 72.7%.
Exports to Americas
In conclusion, Kuwaiti exports to countries across the Americas reached KD 454,000, up from KD 228,000, marking a significant increase of KD 226,000 or 99.1%.
