Kuwait stall star attraction at charity bazaar

Charity is not all about giving, but how much love is put into giving, and this was amplified by the Annual Delhi Commonwealth Women’s Association and Diplomatic community Bazaar efforts to raise funds for charity.
The 34th edition of the bazaar in conjunction with the diplomatic community was held in New Delhi this Sunday and was a whopping success.
With a turnover of a record huge number of visitors at the Diplomatic bazaar held at an open-air setting at Nehru park in New Delhi where stall from various countries were put up. It appeared as if entire international community has come forward to help this noble mission.
Among the star attraction at the annual bazaar was the Kuwait stall, tastefully decorated which saw a turnover of large number of visitors. Decked up, the stall showcased Kuwait traditional hospitality known so well besides displaying traditional art, dresses both male and female, biscuits, juices flavoured milk sweets, chocolates and other stuff.
The highlight of the Kuwait stall was the presence of Madam Maha A. A. S. Butain, wife of H.E. the Ambassador of Kuwait who not only welcomed the visitors but was seen personally showcasing the art and culture of Kuwait to them. Displaying well known Kuwaiti hospitality, she offered sweets and other eatables to the visitors at the stall and detailed them about art and culture of the country.
Ambassador of Kuwait Meshal Alshemali who was present at the stall also greeted the visitors.
The gesture was deeply appreciated by the visitor who thronged at the stall and praised personal care and humility.
In fact, Madam Maha later said it gave her immense satisfaction to be a part of this noble cause and helping those who are not so fortunate and really need this assistance. “It is indeed a noble mission” she added.
“We are so happy to be part of this charity mission,” she said.
The Ambassador’s wife later took out the name of the winner of the raffle which was sponsored by Al Jazeera airlines. Various airlines too participated in the charity bazaar.
Ever since its inception, the Delhi Commonwealth Woman Association has been driven and funded solely by contributions of well-wishers and fundraisers, It does not opt for any governmental aid or subsidies. The organisation has made a substantial impact in the lives of the community through the efforts of dedicated volunteers and committed staff.
The diplomatic bazaar is one of the platforms where proceeds from sale goes for charity.
Among the areas DCWA works include Good Health and Well-Being, Quality Education, Gender Equality, and various other disciplines.
