PAI issues two-week ultimatum to clear Al-Saffarin Market violations

The Public Authority for Industry has issued an official warning to investors in the Al-Mirqab Industrial Area (Al-Saffarin Market), calling for the immediate removal of violations, waste, and illegally placed items from shop rooftops as part of an ongoing rehabilitation and development project.
In a statement, the authority said inspection teams had detected multiple irregularities, including accumulated waste and unauthorized uses of rooftop spaces, which contravene regulatory requirements and hinder the progress of redevelopment works, reports Al-Rai daily.
The authority has given owners of shops a two-week deadline to clear all violations, stressing full compliance with approved regulations to ensure the project proceeds according to schedule.
The authority further warned that in case of non-compliance, it will take necessary legal and administrative action to remove the violations without liability, and beneficiaries will not be entitled to claim compensation after the deadline expires.
