‘Aman’ team strengthens crisis management cooperation with Turkey’s AFAD

The team overseeing the establishment of the national crisis and disaster management center “Aman” held a coordination meeting on Monday via video conference with Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority to explore avenues of cooperation and exchange expertise in crisis and emergency management.
In a statement, the Aman team said the meeting forms part of ongoing efforts to develop an integrated national system for managing crises and disasters. Discussions focused on best practices to enhance preparedness, strengthen institutional coordination, and improve response capabilities across various emergency scenarios, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The two sides also reviewed opportunities for joint cooperation in training, knowledge exchange, and leveraging specialized expertise to boost institutional efficiency and adapt to rapidly evolving challenges in the field.
Both parties emphasized the importance of maintaining continuous communication and expanding collaboration to support the exchange of best practices and reinforce readiness in addressing crises and emergencies.
The “Aman” team, affiliated with the Cabinet, is tasked with building a comprehensive national framework for crisis and disaster management, aimed at unifying efforts, improving risk management, and enhancing overall preparedness and response mechanisms.
